Volunteer Opportunities

Bridges to Life:  John Sage '66 has been instrumental in the development of one of the most successful prison ministry organizations in the state of Texas. Through the work of dedicated volunteers, Bridges to Life continues to grow and positively effect not only prisoners, but the victims of crime as well. Bridges to Life is constantly looking for new volunteers and St. Thomas is honored to be affiliated with such an inspirational program. John Sage states, "we continue to grow in the number of inmates who complete our program each year.  The process continues to have a very powerful impact on the lives of the inmate and volunteer participants.  We are currently working in 17 prisons throughout Texas.  In the greater Houston area, we are coordinating projects at prisons in Richmond, Sugar Land, Texas City, Dayton, Huntsville, and Navasota.  We must have consistent growth in our volunteer base to deliver our unique and powerful process inside the prison walls."  Please consider volunteering for an upcoming project.  Contact John Sage by phone (713-463-7200) or email (JSage1@aol.com).

Under the direction of St. Thomas Campus Minister Marty Matulia, Men of St. Thomas (M.O.S.T.) is an organization composed of primarily St. Thomas students and their fathers aimed at developing faith and sharing in service and/or retreat experiences in a variety of ways that does not require weekly meetings, dues, or other "traps" that often times prevents most people from getting involved in the first place. For more information about this exciting organization or to find out about upcoming events or service projects, please contact Marty Matulia at martin.matulia@sths.org.
